1979 at Gya1shing, West Sikkim. Within a short span of his s career as an archer, Mr. Chungda Sherpa won a number of accol, both within and outside the country. His hard-work and sportsman

            skill placed both him and Sikkim in the map of international arch

Some of his achievements are as under :­

Won Gold Medal in the First Indian Style National ArCh

Championship held in New Delhi, 1993.

                                                            at Cuttack, November, 1993.

                                                                Winner of the XVIII Junior National Archery Championship

                                                            in Punjab, December, 1994.

                Chungda Sherpa                      Participated in the First common Wealth and 4th Federation

International Archery Championship in March 1995 at New Delhi.

Won six Gold and one silver medals as well as set three new national record in the XVIII Junior National Archery Championship held in Uttar Pradesh in October 1995.

     Winner of the XVII Senior National Archery

Championship held in Orissa in January 1995.

     Ranked among 12 Top Asian in the 9th Senior

Asian Archery Championship in Thailand in February 1 996.

Participated in 4th Junior World Target Archery Championship held in USA California China Vista in

     Attended Olympic camp in Archery at CaL-utta

     Winner of the XVIII Senior national Archery

Championship held at Jamshedpur 1996-97
